Tervehdys!
Käsitöitä olen luonnollisesti tehnyt aina, enemmän tai vähemmän aktiivisesti. Helmeily alkoi teini-iässä, jolloin tein käsi-, kaula- ja nilkkakoruja helmikudonnalla. Pitkän tauon jälkeen löysin helmet uudelleen vuoden 2007 kesällä, kun halusin tehdä uuden rannekorun juhannukseksi. Siskoni Elina oli vuosien saatossa opettanut minulle peyote-piston ja kukkaketjun. Tuona kesänä sitten aloin etsimään helmityömalleja ja ohjeita netistä, jonka ihanilla helmityö-sivuilla seikkailen vieläkin, eikä loppua näy... Galleriastani löytyy kuvia uusimmista helmitöistäni, päivittelen sitä mukaa kun julkaisukelpoisia töitä valmistuu.
4.5.2009:
*Pitkä, pitkä hiljaisuus loppuu toivottavasti tähän :) Paljon on päivitettävää, aloitin helpoimmasta päästä ja järjestin linkit uudelleen, ja lisäsin ensimmäisen oman työohjeeni(!) Pohdin uuden gallerian lisäämistä, mutta saa nähdä keksinkö yhtenäistä kategoriaa.

*Tein Facebookiin oman sivun myytävänä oleville töilleni, sitä pääsee tutkimaan, vaikkei olisikaan Naamakirjan jäsen :) Peikko ja Keijukainen Facebookissa.
2.10.2008:
*'Just a girl' -gallerialla on nyt kaksi sivua: linkit uusimpiin töihin lisätään aina viimeisen sivun loppuun, selaus toimii poikki koko gallerian, kuten ennenkin.

*Tervetuloa "uusille" sivuille! Osoite ja tapetit ovat uudet, muuten mennään samaan tyyliin kuin ennenkin :) Tapetit saattavat vaihtua silloin tällöin, vielä en ole löytänyt sitä täydellistä pohjaa...
*Perustin kesäkuun alussa blogin, josta löytyvät aina kaikkein tuoreimmat tuotokset - tervetuloa myös Peikonpesään.

*Olen päättänyt laittaa joitain töitä myyntiin, jotta saan tilaa ja hieman rahaa uusia varten. Myytävänä olevat korut löydät täältä.
*Uusi galleria - XY - nyt jotain myös miehille? Sisältää toistaiseksi vain yhden kuvan, mutta toivottavasti kokoelma vielä kasvaa.

I've (naturally) been doing crafts all my life. My first real contact to beading was in my teens, when I started doing loomwork. After a long break I re-discovered beading in the summer of 2007, when I wanted to make a bracelet for the mid-summer (a big holiday in e.g. Finland and Sweden). Along the years, my sister had thought me the peyote-stitch and how to make one form of daisy-chain. I started looking for instructions and ideas in the internet and there seems to be something new to find every day! Here you can see most of my beadwork so far, the galleries will be updated as new stuff emerges.
May 5th 2009:
*It's been quiet here in the lair for a long while, but that will hopefully change now. I have plenty of stuff to add, but I started with lighter tasks: I've rearranged the links section and added my first own tutorial(!). I'm considering a new gallery, but we'll see if I manage to come up with a cohesive mix.
October 2nd 2008:
*'Just a girl' gallery has now two pages: Thumbnails to the newest pieces are added at the end of the index pages, but the gallery itself loops through the whole gallery.
September 20th 2008:
*Welcome to the "new" site! The address and wall paper have changed, otherwise the lair is the same as before. The skin might change every now and then, since I haven't found the perfect template yet :)
*I started a beading blog in June, there you can find the pieces straight from the press, and the ones that aren't 'special' enough to get their own place here. Peikonpesä is written in Finnish, if you have specific questions about something you find there, you can leave them as a comment on the blog, or send me an e-mail at peikkojakeiju @ yahoo.com
